Track a delivery, and the word "delivered"
See where a package actually is, and know the exact steps when it says delivered and there is nothing on the step.
When a package goes astray, people call the carrier and get nowhere. The reason is that your agreement is with the store, not with the driver.
The practice carrier below is called Kingsway Packages. Yours will look a little different, and every one of them has these same four steps: the number, the timeline, the photograph, the report.
Key points
- Find a tracking number and read a delivery timeline
- Look at the carrier’s photograph before you do anything else
- Check with neighbors and give it one business day
- Claim from the store, in writing, and keep the reference
What to remember
- Couriers photograph where they left it. Looking at the door in the picture is the fastest thing you can do.
- Report it to the carrier by all means. Claim from the store. Those are two different actions and only one of them ends with your money back.
- In writing, through the store’s own account, is better than a phone call — because it leaves a record.
Try this
Find the last dispatch email you were sent and look for the tracking number in it. Knowing what one looks like, before a package goes missing, is half the battle.
