Call someone without dialing
Call anybody in your phone in two taps, and put the people you call most where your thumb already is.
Every number you have ever saved is sitting inside the phone, in alphabetical order, waiting. You never have to remember one again.
The Phone app has four lists along the bottom, and they never move. Favorites for the handful of people you call most. Recents for everyone who has called you or been called by you. Contacts for the whole address book. Keypad for the rare occasion when you have a number on a scrap of paper.

What to remember
- Two taps and a name. The number itself never comes into it.
- Favorites never move or copy anybody. They are shortcuts, and you can add and remove them all day without consequence.
- Four or five favorites is about right. More than that and the list stops being short.
Try this
Open the Phone app on your own phone and press Favorites. If the list is empty, add one person to it — the person you call most often. It will save you a small amount of effort every week for years.
