Getting them off the phone and onto a computer
Copy a year of photographs onto a computer or a memory stick, so they exist somewhere the phone cannot take with it.
Your photographs are on the phone, and — if the last lesson went well — in an account. Both of those are one accident away from each other: an account locked out, a password lost, a phone that dies before it has finished copying.

What to remember
- Answer Trust, and unlock the phone. Until you do both, the computer sees nothing at all.
- Choose the folder, choose all, press Import. Leave it running and go and make a cup of tea.
- Check the copy before you trust the copy. Every time, without exception.
