What a photograph tells people about you
What travels inside a picture, and be able to take it out before you send one.
Tucked inside every picture your phone takes is a note of the date, the time, the make of phone, the camera settings — and, unless you have turned it off, the exact spot where you were standing.

What to remember
- The i button, or sliding the picture upwards, shows everything a photograph knows about itself.
- Before posting anything publicly, look at the background as carefully as you looked at the person.
- On the share screen, press Options and turn Location off. It stays off for next time.
