Tell ring from vibrate
Say why the phone stayed quiet, and set it the way you want it.
A phone is either ringing out loud, vibrating, or silent. A side switch, or a row in Sounds, moves between the three.
Vibrate still buzzes and lights the screen. Silent does neither, so a call arrives with no sign.
