Learning With Lantern | Technology Help for Older Adults
Patient technology help for older adults and beginners. Learn computer and phone skills, practice safely, and get clear answers with Learning With Lantern.
Lantern is built for older adults and complete beginners. There are practice questions with explanations rather than pass-or-fail exams. Lessons can be stopped and picked up again later.
What you actually do
You practice on pretend copies of real screens — a pretend inbox, a pretend desktop, a pretend bank. There are 1,300 things to practice, built on 31 of these pretend screens. These simulations do not change your own files, accounts or money. They teach the steps; the names, positions and appearance of controls can differ on your own device.
510 lessons across 23 courses, 50 hours in all, each one a few minutes long. There are also 625 short reference answers.
