Steady hands, and tapping to focus
Take a photograph that is sharp on the thing you actually care about, first time.
A phone camera is a very good camera. When a picture comes out soft, it is almost never because the phone is not good enough.
Key points
- Hold the phone with both hands and your elbows against your ribs
- Touch the face on the screen to set what is sharp and how bright
- Slide the brightness up when somebody is sitting against a window
What to remember
- Touch the face, then take the picture. Two seconds, every time.
- One touch sets two things at once — what is sharp, and how bright. That is why it is worth the second it takes.
Try this
Open your camera, point it at something across the room, and touch a different part of the screen three times. Watch the whole picture brighten and darken as you do. That is the control you have had all along.
