Say what a thumbnail is
Tell a video from a photo before you press anything.
A thumbnail is the small still picture shown in place of a video before anybody plays it.
It is one frame from the clip, with a little arrow drawn over it. Nothing is running.
Key points
- A thumbnail is one still picture standing for a whole video
- The little arrow marks a video in a list
What to remember
- One picture, until you press it.
- A thumbnail is a picture. The arrow says a video is behind it.
Try this
Open your photos and look for the small arrows. Every row with one is a video.
