Stop the screen sliding about
Calm the movement between screens, which for some people is the difference between using a phone and not.
Reduce Motion stops the sliding and zooming a screen does as it opens. Pages fade in gently instead.
That movement makes some people genuinely queasy. Nothing is lost — the buttons stay where they were.
Key points
- Reduce Motion replaces sliding and zooming with a plain fade
- It lives under Accessibility, and nothing else about the phone changes
What to remember
- Motion has its own row under Accessibility on every phone made.
- Reduce Motion removes the movement, never the function.
Try this
If swiping between screens ever leaves you unsettled, look under Accessibility for Motion and try it for a day.
