Play a voicemail
Find the messages people leave when you miss a call, and play them back.
Voicemail is a recording a caller leaves when you do not answer. Your phone company keeps it, not the phone.
Most phones show the messages as a list, with the name and the day beside each one.
Key points
- Voicemail holds recordings from callers you did not answer
- Playing one does not delete it, and it can be played again
What to remember
- A message waits until you play it, and stays afterwards.
- Voicemail is a spoken message, waiting to be played.
Try this
Open the Phone app on your own device and press Voicemail. Even an empty list is worth finding once.
